I liked todays lesson at Church. It talks of a banquet and where one sits. If your ego takes you to the head table, you will be humbled when asked to move for someone else but if you sit in the least desirable spot, you will be exalted when asked to move closer to the head table. What one is supposed to learn from this story is that those who are humble will be exalted and those who are not will be humbled ultimately.
Have we as a society learned that lesson. We need to. There are more and more people who believe laws are made for others but not themselves, who think they are owed something by society, by those who cannot admit a sorry since they are above that.
Does this apply to the Economy? Politics? Research? Education?
